The Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat when I go to Disney World. I think it may be because I like the Grand Floridian Resort so much, but I also like that the Grand Floridian Cafe is a little more casual than Citricos, which is another restaurant at the Grand Floridian Resort. Usually I go to the Grand Floridian Cafe for a breakfast or lunch reservation, but this time we decided to go for our first dinner on our trip. If you're interested in what they serve for breakfast or lunch click the links!

The ambiance of the whole restaurant is so nice and the decor is really beautiful. It matches the rest of the resort, but it also has its own whimsical flair with the decorations they use. It’s a really great place if you’re looking for somewhere nicer around the parks that isn't as pricey as a place like Citricos or The California Grill at the Contemporary.

I got the Turkey Pot Pie from the dinner menu and I have to say it was really good. I was really surprised when our waitress brought it out and there was a little Mickey head in the puff pastry! It was such a cute, small detail that I really appreciated. Overall, the meal was great and I really enjoyed the pot pie. For desert we decided to share a strawberry cheesecake and a chocolate fondue platter which was super delicious.

I think I would go there for dinner again, but given the choice between a dinner or a breakfast/lunch reservation I would go with doing a breakfast or lunch. I like the options for what they serve at lunch and breakfast better than dinner, and the whole restaurant just seems to have a lighter atmosphere during the day.
