Resort Tour: Polynesian Village

I’m so happy that I’m starting this Resort Tour series with what may be my favorite resort, the Polynesian. We stayed here when I was five on my first trip to Disney World, so it really holds a special place in my heart. Honestly, every time I walk in I want to cry because it gives me so much nostalgia (but honestly I want to cry every time I go to Disney World so no surprises there).

One of my favorite things about the Polynesian is the smell that hits you when you walk through the doors. Apparently, every deluxe resort has a signature scent pumped in, and the Polynesian’s is a mix between ocean breeze and rain water and something maybe a little earthy that I can’t put my finger on. I always like to say that the smell of the Polynesian is the smell of Disney World for me. I think it’s so funny that just the smell of this resort can make me feel so many emotions when I first walk in, but I think that’s what Disney was going for.

This resort has two shops: one that has clothes called BouTiki, and another full of merch and groceries called Moana Mercantile. This resort also has a handful of dining locations: Kona Cafe (sit down), 'Ohana (sit down), Captain Cook's (quick service), Pineapple Lanai (window service), Kona Island (counter), Trader Sam's (bar), Tambu Lounge (lounge), and Spirit of Aloha (dinner show). Keep an eye out for an article about my experience eating at Kona Cafe coming soon! For more info on the amenities of this resort click here!

I didn’t get as many photos of the resort as I would have liked this trip, but I’ll be adding photos to this post as I go back to Disney and the Polynesian Resort. I also want to take the time here to link a really good resort tour of the Polynesian on YouTube from my favorite Disney Youtuber, TheTimTracker. He has a whole playlist of resort tours that you can check out! Without further ado, here’s my resort tour of the Polynesian in photos:
